The first impression your guests have is a psychological trigger that colors every aspect of their guests experience during their stay. Hosts and security personnel create your guests’ first impressions, before they get to see how beautiful your venue is, how good your food may be, or how tasty or creative your cocktails might be. Your staff in these positions are as important (if not more important), than many other positions in your venue, but often times the positions are filled with under-qualified, under-paid, and/or improperly trained personnel incapable of carrying out a very important purpose – to mold a positive and welcoming impression before anything else. This session discusses the importance of the initial impressions your “front of” front of house should be giving your guests, how they can attract new guests, and how to retain return guests. This session leaves time for an open format Q&A session at the end for more specific questions.
