Saying so long to single-use plastic straws will be a long journey, but it’s really just the opening credits; now the real fun (and hard work) starts! While our industry’s collective awareness is UP, we must find ways to bring all of our waste streams DOWN. This session introduces you to how electricity, water, organics, agriculture, inorganics, and carbon footprint all have a role in getting greener behind the bar. It shows how to identify challenges specific to your location, but also how this awareness can be scaled up in local communities and even on a global scale. Lastly, it shows that addressing these sustainability issues can not only add up to a better future, but can add up to more money in your business.
