He is also a freelance spirit and travel writer, writing for publications such as Eater, Huffington Post, Fodors and Liquor.com. He is also currently a professor of professional communication, specializing in digital marketing and owns a digital marketing consulting practice.

Clint Lanier and Derek Hembree have been interviewed for numerous national and major-region radio and television shows, such as the Today Show, NPR and Sirius XM, and have been interviewed and featured in publications including USA Today, Huffington Post, International Business Times, the New Yorker, Imbibe and others.

The second edition of their book, Bucket List Bars, will be published November 1, 2018 and is expected to become as celebrated as the first edition.
