Erron Halen

Tom's Urban
General Manager
While attending school, Erron began his career working as a bar apprentice and bartender at multiple bars on the campus of the University of Iowa.  Soon after taking on supervisory roles, he quickly rose up the ranks until eventually becoming a General Manager by the young age of 23.  Eager to outgrow his Midwest roots and hungry to learn more, he made a move to the Los Angeles area in 2001.

Falling in love with the South Bay area of LA, Erron built on his experience by going to work with Paul Hennessey managing at some of his beach city Tavern locations and at the world-famous Lighthouse Café on the Hermosa Beach Pier. Itching to explore, he yearned to expand his knowledge of other regional markets and soon found himself in Chicago, Denver and even back in Iowa before eventually landing in Phoenix in 2007.

Life in the desert was bountiful for his career as he was able to not only serve as a GM, but also as a Multi-Unit Manager and Managing Partner for various nightclubs, bars and restaurant concepts throughout the Phoenix area.  It was through Erron’s extensive experience with new store openings that he got the opportunity to collaborate with Tom Ryan on the launch of his flagship location for the Tom’s Urban concept at the NYNY Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.  4 years and 4 new store openings later, Erron continues to oversee the training and development of every future leader that is brought into Tom’s Urban.

In addition to systems-driven daily operations, Erron and his Team stays on the pulse of consumer trends with everything culinary, beverage and entertainment related to the hospitality industry in the hopes of gaining a deeper understanding of how and why his guests eat, drink and socialize. He is passionate about guest service and always strives to create guest experiences that are truly memorable.

When he is not in the kitchen or on the restaurant floor, Erron enjoys spending time with his monster of a mutt, Samuel James Jackson, cooking for friends and family, exploring new restaurants or bars and climbing mountains in his Jeep.
