Giuseppe González has bartending in his blood. He’s a third generation barman with a drink-slinging family history dating back to the 1950s. More than a decade ago, González moved to New York from Puerto Rico to attend Cornell University. He earned a degree in neurobiology, but couldn’t resist the urge to get behind the stick. Throwing all of his neuro-energy into a full-blown mixology career, González has made a name for himself in the New York City cocktail world.

He was the head bartender at Julie Reiner’s Flatiron Lounge and at her beloved Brooklyn endeavor, Clover Club. Gonzalez also worked as lead barman at Sasha Petraske’s Dutch Kills in Long Island City, where he mixed classically-based cocktails in 19th century saloon-style digs. Founder of several bars, Suffolk Arms and Painkiller NYC, he is currently residing in Las Vegas working at Nectaly Mendoza's latest venture "Cleaver."
