You never know what to expect from Ryan Labbe. The Rhode Island native has worked in the hospitality industry since he was a teenager; he's made a name for himself by using his creative thought process to devise unique experiences.

After attending school in both Philadelphia and Rhode Island, Labbe began his career by working at several East Coast bars and restaurants, eventually moving up the ranks to become the General Manager of a Rhode Island hotspot, as well as managing partner of a local bar. Following his success on the East Coast, he moved to Las Vegas in 2011.

In Sin City, he blossomed and curated relationships with the likes of businessmen, music professionals and celebrities. During this time Labbe worked closely with Las Vegas hospitality architect Andy Masi, consulting for The Light Group. There, he began creating, booking and marketing electronic dance music events for its wealth of venues.

He quickly became known for his "guerrilla style" marketing, and was respected as someone willing to go over-the-top to create an experience.

After taking time off to film a television show, he joined forces with Jason "JROC" Craig, another dynamic young consultant to form the 81/82 Group in 2012. Together, the two have curated and established DJ residencies and must-attend events for a multitude of Vegas’ hotspots.

In addition to the aforementioned, the 81/82 Group duo has also partnered with several national brands such as 50 Bleu Premium Vodka and ResQwater, an anti-hangover beverage, from initial launches to helping curate the brand in Vegas and cross markets alike.

"It's important to have partners play off your strengths," Labbe said. "JROC and I have a respect of each other, as well as an understanding of what we bring to table individually and what we bring to the table as a team."

In 2015, Labbe and Craig began working with Masi again, this time as managing partners in Clique Bar and Lounge at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. The three-headed monster of Masi, Labbe and Craig furthered their portfolios with game-changing projects at the PALMS Casino Resort in Las Vegas and The Pendry in San Diego.

Labbe always expects the best of himself, but it's the unexpected that has turned him into a force in the hospitality world.
