Executive Chef & Culinary Instructor
Theron Fisher has over 30 years of leadership experience and expertise in the hotel, gaming and culinary industries.  For the past three years Theron held the position of Executive Chef and Culinary Instructor for Kitchens for Good, a San Diego based non-profit organization. At Kitchens for Good, Theron oversaw the culinary operations, and was the lead instructor of Project Launch which aims to break the cycles of food waste, poverty and hunger through innovative programs in workforce training, healthy food production, and social enterprise. Theron’s prolific industry experience in the classroom proved invaluable to the students at Kitchens for Good.

Prior to Kitchens for Good, Theron designed, opened, and operated food and beverage operations for hotels, casinos, and independent restaurants companies. His hotel experience includes opening a 515 room AAA Four Diamond resort.  Under his direction annual Revenue for Soaring Eagle Casino Food and Beverage department went from 5 million to 38 million, (1998 to 2005).

Theron’s expertise in concept development is based on the end user, the customer and how it affects the overall guest experience. Theron’s other skill sets include budget planning, P&L accountability, developing departmental policies, job descriptions, menu writing, cost analysis, marketing, and HR policy and procedures.
