Tyler White has been in the culinary industry for over 18 years working in North Carolina and Tennessee. His career began at small resort outside of Asheville NC with his father, where he worked through high school and learned how a professional kitchen operated, and how to harvest produce at the organic farm on site. From here Tyler went on to become a Sous Chef and receive a Master’s degree in hospitality management from The University of Tennessee. Tyler currently is the program manager at University of Tennessee Culinary Institute, helping students pursue their dreams of culinary greatness. He has the ServSafe certification, is a lead judge in the TN ProStart State Competition, and sits as a committee member on the following advisory boards: PSCC college of Business, ACF Smokey Mountains Chapter, and the TN Department of Education.
